You've Planned Every Detail—Now Here's How to Stay Calm on the Big Day

You’ve prayed.
You’ve planned.
You’ve double-checked every vendor and confirmed every timeline.

But when the wedding day finally arrives, it’s not just about what’s written on paper—it’s about how you live it with grace, peace, and purpose.

And here’s the truth, sweet bride:

Something will go wrong.

Maybe the florist is late.
Maybe someone forgets their tie.
Maybe it rains on the one day it wasn’t supposed to.

But being a prepared, confident bride doesn’t mean preventing every hiccup—it means you’ll handle them with calm and grace, so no one ever even knows there was a hiccup.

LDS-Wedding-Proven Day-of Tips

These are a few of my favorite tips to help you manage the day-of logistics peacefully and prayerfully:

Build in buffer time between major moments. If photos begin at 2 PM, tell people 1:45. End pre-ceremony photos one hour before the start time to avoid last-minute stress.

Text your vendors the day before with the venue address, your contact number, and arrival instructions—even if it's already in the contract.

Print two copies of the timeline. Highlight handoff points like when the cake arrives, the bouquet is delivered, or the DJ starts setup. Give one copy to a helper (MOB or bridesmaid).

Eat. Hydrate. Rest. Many brides forget to eat and end up dizzy or overwhelmed. You can’t pour from an empty cup. Be kind to yourself.

Delegate joyfully. Let your mom, aunt, or maid of honor take on final details. You deserve to be present—not managing delivery times.

Faith + Preparation = Peace

That’s why the Church of Jesus Christ Wedding Planning Program includes customized 3–6–9 month timelines and “day-of” to-do checklists made specifically for LDS weddings.

You don’t need to figure it out alone. I’ve created a free, Christ-centered planning space just for you.
